Creating a unique bilingual typeface

New font for the Russkii Diamond brand by ALROSA, we developed a Latin initial letter and Chinese characters with the brand name and slogan.

If the Latin alphabet was relatively easy for us, then we had to study the intricacies of hieroglyphic calligraphy on the Chinese writing of the logo and slogan.

The project team went through a complete immersion in the basics of Chinese calligraphy, for which a sinologist was involved, and at the last stages of creation, the hieroglyphs had to be defended in Hong Kong agency of the customer. In the end, everyone was satisfied with the quality of the work done.
